I'll throw my 2c in as I've had that problem. I found that on my 65
Dart & 65 Coronet that when swapping to a later transmission the
original speedometer cable won't work at the transmission end. A
66/67 cable will since it has the proper size screw connentions at
both ends. 68 and up used the plastic push on connector at the
speedometer.
