Seems to me though, that the Nut (or what ever you might call it that you can tighten to the back of the speedo) on the older one was bigger, but I'm not sure. I think I oiled the one in our 77 Fury once and noticed it was a different size. Other wise, I think the cable itself inside should still have the square ending on it.
