i believe the only advantage a vacuum secondary has is better gas mileage.
 
i have a 950 hp on a 540 horse motor and it works very well.
on the other hand i have a small block chevy with a 650 double pumper,
this set-up also works well.
this 650 came from my brothers mild 383, and it did for that motor, what the 950
does for mine.

Don't know what the cam is, I think its just a comp street performer. Nothing too hot.

I am considering a new 4 barrel carb for my stock 315. If I go with a 
Holley what size would be good for a driver?

I have a 383 with some mild head work and a cam. I didn't do the work so 
I'm not sure what cam it has, it was done before I bought the engine. I am 
considering a 760 Holley Street Avenger. Any comments about the carb 
choice and size?
