The last generation boxes have only four pins as do all replacement boxes and the troublesome circuit that caused that was eliminated years ago. even though many conversions still use the dual balast in reality there is nothing going through the one side as that circuit is no longer used. Later systems have only a single balast which happens to be identical in value to our original 62 to 65 mopar point ballast resistor. (I bought one and tested it to compare). so the original factory resistor can be used. Mine has been, for 5 years now. If you have the old 5 pin box you can substitute the newer 4 pin with no other changes. It plugs in the same , just the pin aint there.
