Neal,
 This would be your best bet-  find the bolt on timing mark plate, and
put it on your car. Verify top dead center of piston 1, and compare it to
the timing plate. If it's no where near close, make a new mark on the
vibration dampner with a punch or file. If you swapped all that stuff
around, who is to say the outer ring hasn't slipped on the hub and timing
marks are off a bunch to start with? The bolt-on plate shows how many
degrees of advance your timing is set, it wouldn't matter where on the
engine it was located. You could also make some kind of bolt-on pointer,
and use a timing tape applied to the vibration dampner, as long as you
set the tape to read "0"  at TDC.
 Don't re-invent the wheel!
