I had a similar situation with my newly rebiult 440. Don said the full
groove berrings had that effect on oil pressure. What oil are you runnig. I
switched to a single 30 weight and it helped alot. i knowticed the problem
popped up when the engine was warmed up. when it was HOT(205 or above) it
was worse. i changed the thermostat and it stays cool and pressure is up. I
am running the taller Hipressure/high flow oil pump and extended the pan.
