The first generation Valiant and Lancer had the more modern flanged rear
axle along with Chrysler's first use of Bendix brakes and not the tapered
axle.   Thus rear brake work is a dream on 1960-62 Valiants and Lancers (at
least in comparison to the other Mopar vehicles).

As well, the brake parts (they are 9" drums) interchange with the 1963-66
Valiants and Darts.  As well, self-adjusting brakes did not appear on the A
body cars until 1963, so you will need to adjust the brakes every 4,000
miles or so.  However, you can make them self-adjusting by adding the
adjusting lever, wheel and cable.  Again, the parts from any 1963-66 A body
will work.
