The biggest problem you'll have is fitting the base of that stock air filter to a newer AFB throat.
The newer carburetors have a larger throat or air inlet.
You can fab up a new base though.

I might have the same concerns. Have a MP single plane on my engine,but won't know til it's installed in the car later this year. I do have a MW scoop w/ a hole cut in the hood,but I'm running a original chrome unsilenced air cleaner.I have a feeling it might be a problem on my 64 Polara.

Are there clearance problems under the hood of a 63' B body with the M1 ? Anybody know the installed height on RB block w/ factory heads ?
