Repro cowl driver's side patch panels are available from several 
vendors, (Kramer for example) not the whole cowl, afaik. Some people say 
the patch panel requires some tweaking to fit properly.

http://www.maxwedge.com/orangemonster.html gives some Max engine specs. 

My 2 cents: just build an engine that meets your performance 
requirements, rather than a "more streetable max wedge engine".
