Neal...yes the '67 440" HIGH PERFORMANCE" was the engine to get.The low
performance 440 had the not-so-good heads(516 casting,IIRC). The good heads
were casting #xxxx915.These had 2.08 intakes,1.74 exhausts...low perf. had
1.60 exhausts. Most of the HP 440's in '67 had factory chrome valve
covers,and dual snorkel air cleaners.

Thers a guy here with a two door chrysler 300 ( 1967) and he will
sell me the whole car for 600 bucks. It has the 67 440 and 727
torqueflite. I bet I could talk him down 50 or 100 bucks too. Would
that be a god deal for tyhe engine and tranny. Might be somme goodies i
could ebay and get back my money too.
isnt the 67 the engine with the closed chamber heads? Good or bad?
