The /6 cars have decent torque, but just run out of steam a bit sooner
that the V8's. As long as you don't live in the mountains, it would be
fine for a parts runner or daily driver. If you don't hit the freeway
much, you might even find some a different ratio for the rear end to
help in motor-vation.

My brother did a 70 barracda 225 /6 904 project had had it running
15.0s in the quarter. 4 bl intake headers and a cam.
Somebody gave him a 400 and a 727...so that ended the slant 6 project.
That was a bit of a shame as the car probably had another half or full
second faster potential with the six.
My daughter's present car is a 71 valiant 4dr 225 904. Mopar headers and a 4
barrel manifold with a 390 holley. Still has the stock cam.
The car runs the arizona hills between phoenix and flagstaff in high gear at 75+
with out downshifting.
The setup would be close to perfect except for the low header clearance.
Playing with a turbo setup that might clear up the header problem.
