I'm going AGM battery, Type 27. I'll look at the cars at Carlisle next month and do some research but pretty sure we used Green in '65. 

Used to be a place called Antique Auto Battery that sold nationally and was located 15 minutes from me but I can't find them now. Vended at Carlisle. Are they still around?

I got a cover on my 65 ply it looks fine, you just gotta take the battery name sticker off the side of the battery. I had a repro in my lincoln and it was a pain it was not a agm type you had to fill it with acid. I don't know about the cap colors because they have yellow and green I went with yellow.

I want to put a reproduction battery in my '65 Satellite. The pure reproductions cost around $500. I have seen battery covers for modern batteries that as a package could save hundred(s). What's my options? Not trying to win Pebble Beach, just look right.
