Butch, there is a square piece that is fastened to the floor via the accelerator pedal studs that retains the cable housing.

 I restored the emergency brake assembly inside the car with the help of the service manual (great diagram). I have an oem emergency brake kit from Classic Industries, can't quite figure out what the routing should look like under the front half of the car. It looks like it should attach to body somewhere.. Also, does it go on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel? The service manual diagram isn't explicit enough for me.
