At long last , after searching for a year and a half, I finally found a running 440 motor for my 1965 Coronet.
I found a guy up in Portland Oregon, with a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere, and as his car did not have the original, one year only 350 big block, he had this 440 rebuilt for it instead. And of course, soon thereafter he found a 350 core for his " Christine" , as he called his car. So now he had to sell the 440 to pay for having the 350 done, and I was in the right place at the right time. The motor was still in the 58 so I was able to go up and check the oil pressure and do a compression check on it, and it appears to be everything he says. Only 1500 miles on a 1967 440, completely rebuilt, heads ported and polished , edelbrock ch-28 dual quad intake with Carter afbs., nice sounding cam, etc. He had all the receipts and even took me for a ride in the car, to show me how strong it pulled, so at that point I didn't dicker over his price and bought it on the spot.
I'm going up to Portland this coming weekend to pick it up, and no, I doubt I will run the dual quad setup. I can barely keep one carburetor running.

P.S. Plus I got to go for a ride in a 58 Plymouth, that's a first.
P.P.S. The guy also has a gorgeous Deep blue 59 Fury
