Yes, it was re-engined in the early 90s with a rebuilt 360 from a 78 Monaco!!!!!! It also got a '62 727 aluminum case transmission. Still push-button shifter though.
I look forward to picking people's brains about that transmission and shifter. It works but the car originally had an iron unit with no park mechanism. So the shifter has no Park lever but the current transmission has the parking mechanism at the rear of the case. I'd like to find a suitable pushbutton shifter WITH the parking lever on it one day.
