Here is the 1965 Fbook ad I think you are referring to. 

"Selling a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere I police car.  Factory police package vehicle that was a 318 3 on the tree originally.  Still has the 4 speed pedals and the certified speedo.  Tons of good parts on this one.  Cleaning up the yard a bit before the rains start.  No engine or trans.  No title.  Going to part it out in a couple of weeks if it doesn’t sell."
