Re: Fuel Pump size and type

Dennis, I use a Carter inline pump on my 65 318 to fill the float bowl. The fuel evaporates after sitting for2-3 days so I mounted a push button on the bottom of the dash near the steering column to operate it with. I operate the pump for a count of 8 (usually) with the key on and then crank to start. Carter P90091 Carter Inline Electric Fuel Pumps | Summit Racing. I still have the mechanical pump and it pulls fuel right thru the electric with no problems. See attachment.

I have a friend who wants to go to an electric fuel pump for a 61 318 Poly.  What I am seeing are pumps for much larger engines.  Any recommendations for a stock 318 it is just a driver?  I am in Yuma and due to the high temperatures a pump at the tank eliminates the vapor lock issues.  Thanks Dennis C. --
