He doesn't want another Hays, which I'm sure is all they might even consider
giving him. I will mention that it's an 11" clutch, in case anyone was going
to ask. McLeod sells a bigger clutch that fits on the 11" flywheel, and I
think that's what he's planning to use when he gets around to it (like I
said, the car is driveable, to an extent).

There's nothing wrong with the adjustment. My brother sets his clutches close to the floor, so there's plenty of free play for engagement.

I got professional advice from my grandfather (Doug Morgan of the Car dock in Placerville, CA) and his opinion was the Hays Street/Strip clutch kit is as good as anything else compared to it, but it needs to be adjusted out more. He states he used to have to adjust his to 1.5 inches of play in the pedal for awesome grip. Perhaps that's what is wrong? I have a lot of play in mine, and no slipping...Get more from the Web.
