Steel crank, perhaps. Check the dampner for the ecentric weight ring and 
the torque convertor for small weights welded on. IF it has those two 
items, its a cast crank engine.

Any six pack parts? Not in 77.

Figure 8 coolant passages in the cylinder heads? Probably.

Small "peanut" chevy type spark plugs? Probably as well. 

If it has the peanut plugs, it has the figure 8 coolant passages. The 
passages are larger allowing more even cooling with less hot spots. The 
small plugs are surrounded by coolant for better plug cooling, redusing 
heat and detonation. They are not bad heads to use for an HP build up. 
Ports like a 452, hardened seats, and small plugs for header clearance. 
(plus the cooling benefits.)

Being a motorhome engine, it is probably low mileage, but may have rust 
issues internally.

Out of curiosity, whats the price on it?
