1977 440 out of a motor home question

I have a chance to buy a 440 out of a 77 dodge motor
home.  The motor supposedly ran 2 years ago until the
fuel pump went out.  I have been told that motor home
440's all came with steel cranks and six pack rods. 
Is this true for all?  I would be interested in buying
the motor if its true, otherwise I really don't need
it.  Thanks for your help.
