A good friend of mine has a 67 Ford F250 with a 440 and a 727. Its 4wd
and has a remote transfer case which made the swap alot easier.
When people ask him what engine he has in it, he replies: "An orange
one".
Speaking of 57 Chevys, my friend with the Ford Truck repaired the
transmission in a 57 Chevy. Aparantly it was a pretty fast car as he
could not get any GM 4 speed to hold up in the car. The trans my friend
fixed was a 18 spline hemi 4 speed with liberty gears.
In the past few months I have seen 2 chevy trucks on eBay with cummins
diesels installed.
