It took me about 12 years to find a 1964/1965 Plymouth with the wrap-around rear glass. I don't make a lot of money, so I needed one reasonably priced that was really, really solid, as body work is my automotive weak point. I finally found a 1964 Fury last May, and immediately started tracking down parts. When I was a kid, this was the best part of fixing up an old car! I went into eBay shock! One example I can't forget is $37.00 for a PCV valve. And it sold!!! The price of parts for these awesome old cars is destroying the fun for me. I can't afford the insane prices. These cars are not Hemi Road Runners or Shelby Mustangs, so why so much for parts? I've just learned to suck it up and push back my restoration schedule by years. I will not surrender my car, just because some rich guys have inflated the parts market. Curiously, the value of these cars when finished does not nearly justify the price of the parts. How strange is that?
