I purchased a ventless propane heater called Cozy King, ran me about
225 dollars a couple years ago. It heats a two car garage fairly toasty
but i still think it has a bit of a smell that bugs me.I can kind of
taste it on my tongue. I would probably never get a propane heater again
for this reason. I had it all checked out and have come to the
conclusion that its running correctly, thats just one of the downsides.
Another bummer about propane is it makes a moist heat, a slight amount
of moisture in the air u can feel and see on the window. Probably not
the greatest idea for old metal.I use a little fan next to the heater to
move the air around, it also takes some time to warm the shop up, like
45-60 minutes. Or u can just leave it on a low setting to cycle on and
off.
I used to smoke and smoking never caused a problem with the heater,
but I dont know, u could always just quit smoking instead (LOL),(
spoken like a true self righteous ex-smoker.)
In my new shop i am planning on a 220 electric heater
