Re: rear end clunk

Ben, thanks for the tip , was there any visual clues that the bushings were bad?
mine look pretty ratty but don't seem to be moving?

This may be a total shot in the great blue yonder with your car, but the forward leaf spring bushings went bad on my 64 wagon and they make a LOT of noise and somewhat effect the handling. They seem to get worse when they get moist. Just a thought.

Subject: rear end clunk

hey gang,

my 62 Dart wagon makes a dull thud or clunk
when I go around a corner or make a sharp turn.
this only happens when it rains, so living in So. Cal.
I just forget about it. but we have been getting a lot
of rain lately and it's starting to annoy me.
It sounds and feels like its coming from the rear.
any ideas on what might be wrong? it's almost
like something heavy falls over in the trunk
but I've checked for that.

thanks for any help on this
