i have a 60 gallon upright that i left bolted to the wooden pallet it was shipped on 12 years ago / there seems to be enough spring in it to stop movement / i would even try a soft piece of plywood on the floor

If I bracket and strap my big 220 air compressor to the studs in the
wall do u guys think that will be enough, or will it still bounce up
and down on the concrete garage floor.If it bounced it could also
eventually compromise the welds in the compressor;
  BUT!!!!!-
   I really want to avoid drillling holes in the floor.
