I'm having my 64 4 door Belv painted this winter.
I was talking with the painter yesterday and he suggested I look at 2 stage
systems and think about trying it.
I know a local guy, a friend who did that paint that changes colors as you
move and I didn't like it.
Nice 63 vette and I think it looks silly but the beauty IS in the eye of the
beholder so good for him, I guess.
I'm not a total purest but I plan to stay blue as it's original blue paint
and I like blue.
There's 100's of shades of blue and I'll find one (even a chebby color if I
like it) and go with it.
He tells me that a clear coat is the only way to go with today's pollution
and climate.
I also wanted a slight slight metal flake paint finish and he says base
coat, color coat and clear coat.
I don't mind the extra he wants to charge but have any of you guys (and
gals) done anything like this?

I've spoke with Bill at Special T's and impressed upon him I want MY stuff
back and he say's OK.
I'm going to take the bumpers to the guys in NJ.
I just have some rust under the bottom rear window stainless trim that's
worrying me, like not finding a repair panel.

She's named after my late wife, Kim. She had a lot of spunk too.
