Neal, I use .35 mm Industrial Quartz made by Unimin Corp out of  Idaho. I get 
it from the local lumberyard @ $9.00 a hundred pounds.  I  haven't had any 
problems, but I guess you could if you just held the gun in  place for awhile.  
Good old duct tape should protect surfaces you don't  want blasted.  Don't 
forget eye protection - made a trip to the ER cause I  thought I would do a quick 
clean up of a bolt.  :-(    Joe
