My '64 Belvedere is equipped with the original tapered axle rear end.
It's a 3.23 open unit. I picked up an entire rear end from a low
mileage '70 Road Runner. It has a 3.23 posi unit. The original yoke is
3.25" wide and the yoke on the posi unit is 3.75" wide. My guess is
that several of you guys have encountered this before. What are my
options?
- a new U-joint that's 3" X 3.5"?
