hi,thanks tom and jim you are right on.i saw the button earlier but was not real persistent with it.working nights you get to know when you should put it away.will have to find out if anyone reproduces the dash pad,it has one large and two small splits but the metal is good. thanks mike

This is one topic that never dies.
There is a button on the switch that is spring loaded.
Depress it, and the knob and rod will come out.

hi,today i am stripping down the dash on this 64 sfury.last to be removed is the headlight sw.there is no set screw on the knoband i tried to just pull the knob off after kroiling it.i cna not believe the rod disconnects at the light sw.does anybody know?how about those red sox.not getting much sleep lately. thanks for any info mike
