After finishing my car and hearing that most guys that have the older  Mopars 
don't really wash with the hose.
If you don't drive in wet weather or snow or such, and keep it in a garage,  
just use a wet towel to wipe it down and a dry towel to dry it. That's what I  
do. No sense getting more water on it than you have to. It just makes it rust 
 quicker.
The hose trick puts water where you don't want it.
