Hang them from the ceiling. Definitely put in a plastic bag. Not many critters can get to them that way. Put whatever you want in the bag, just make sure it will smell good in a few months. If there is a lot of moisture, add a dessicant, like Damp Rid.

I asked this question a few weeks ago, but did'nt get many responses. I
need to store the seats out of my Dakota R/T in the garage and I'd the
mice NOT to eat them like they did the buckets for my Polara. Only thing
that comes to mind is putting them in bags with something like
mothballs, but I don't know if that will keep the mice away. Someone
suggested using something nasty tasting on the inside of the seats, and
I'm considering that. Any other suggestions?
