Well Don, I am trying not to be negative, but I had a guy try to sell me a 1973 440 that needed to be gone through for 7,900 dollars! Talk about raising you eyebrows! All I said was that it's OK, I can buy a 440+transmission+ everything completely on it for 500. That made him a little more quiet from there on. Som people truly believe they do have goldmines don't they?
By the way, we had Ham and Turkey day here in california Missouri Sat., there were two dusters and a 68 roadrunner that I saw,.......sad huh? I was tempted to tow the 65 cuda over there just so they had something new to look at even though it will be awhile before it is ready.

Went to the drags friday night with a friend. saw some cool mopars.
a 58 Dodge Coronet with a 500 inch supercharged big block street driven decent car.
A 383 Mopar powered 32 bantam altered
a one owner 70 Road Runner 440
unfortunately none of our 62-63 cars.
Greg Golt though who has a 66 Belevedere with an Old Reliable engine with Edelbrock heads (a reasonable substitute for those who dont want to do the head work) has emailed . He is going to the track today with slicks on . His last venture netted him a tire spinning smoking 11.95 so I am guessing he will turn an 11.40 or so with the slicks. Time will tell.
This is a daily driver now not a dedicated race car.
Engine is from the book exact except he has the Racer brown St-H-42 hydraulic cam which is what we recommend for serious street use.
I think I need another race car! My wife has forbidden slicks or racing with the 63 Dodge. Why I don't know. But I accidently agreed when we were building it (and" a promise made is a debt unpaid") I think she is afraid if I race it ,it will be come a race only car and she wont get to enjoy it. (and she is probably right.)
By The way drove a 66 Cornet wagon witrh 100000+ plus on it to Florida and back in 1980. Lent my 75 valiant brougham V8 to my insurance agent and he wrote it off a week before we were to go so I bought the wagon off of a local car dealers back lot junk row and we headed for Florida. We felt like Ma and Pa Kettle.
Paid $150 for it , bought 2 new rear tires and off we went. The 318 expired and couple of months after returning so I installed a 360( $100). Sold the car for $1200. Still I wish I had kept it.
Oh yeah from Belleville Ontario to Bellville Florida is about 1400 Miles. We took it as far south as Ft Lauderdale.
