Tom,
The 67 gasket plastic is one year only but is not necessary to use. The
front windshield for your 67 Valiant is the same as my 67 Dart and the same
for all these A-bodies through 1976.
The remedy is forget the original plastic trim and use the 1968-76 front
windshield gasket. To finish it off, use the metal chrome windshield trim
that you see on 1968- A-bodies. You can get new mounting clips for the
1968- trim. Look at a '68 or later Dart or Valiant and drill (very easy)
the screws to hold the trim mounting clips in around the windshield just
like the 68 and later A-bodies; install the rubber gasket w/windshield (your
shop guy has this pleasure) then the metal trim around the windshield to
finish it off.
I am attaching a picture of my '67 Dart so you can see the result.
Take care,
Gary Pavlovich

A friend of mine is restoring a 67 valiant 2 door sedan for his son to
drive. It is in need of a new windshield. He found a local place that has
the windshield and the rubber gasket for mounting it, but theydo not have
the plastic pieces that snaps into the rubber gasket all the way around the
windshield and claim they can't get it. The plastic pieces are supposed to
have a chrome finish and to me look just like trim. The windshield person
says he can't put the windshield in with out it cause it spreads the gasket
out and holds everything in place. there is some left in the old gasket,
but it is brittle and will probably never go back in. Any ideas where we
can locate this stuff so he can get the windshield in and get the car on the
road?
Thanks,
Tom Harbison
