The easiest thing to screw up is often one of the easiest to do. After
cleaning the mounting area really well ...install gasket and make sure it is
seated and stretched to be where it is suppossed to be...then place a piece
of stout cord (clothes line) in the receiving area of the gasket...in the
old days they always said to lubricate the cord with brake fluid, but now
days just use a dish washing soap...it takes a time or two to get it right
but as you push the windshield/gasket combination onto the metal...slowly
pull the cord to open up the gasket as you place it in place...bump and
pull...push and seat...about the third time you'll be amaxed how easy it can
be.

It has come time to put in my windshield and backglass I my 63 330 sedan. I
have the original glass that came out of the car and purchased new gaskets.
I have never installed a windshield or backglass before. What do I need to
know in order to be successful?

Thanks,
Scott
