Andy,

In my opinion the Weiand sucks. It has no power below 3500. I am sure
Gary P will confirm that.
If you can find a good stock 4 barrel your much better off. The Weiand
is on old design single plane,
and they did not work well back in those days. The stock one is a duel
plane. Even by comparison with
today's manifolds, if you look at dyno charts comparing the RPM
Performer with the Victor, there is not
much difference over the overall curve. The duel planes perform very
well.

Awhile back there was a nice discussion about the factory 4-barrel
intakes (cast iron) vs. the Weiand 4-barrels that are being made now
(aluminum). Does anyone still have that discussion saved, and if so
could you email it to me? I, of course, no longer have it...

Also, for those using the Weiand on your Poly, where do you find it
makes the most power at? They advertise from idle to 6000rpm is the
power band. Well no shit, that's pretty much the ENTIRE power band.
What's the reality of it, and are you happy with it?

Thanks for your help,
Andy
