I don't think the 3 inch deal is necessary for even a hot strip car. You can put a huge tire in these cars. The 285s i have installed are gigantic looking even. If one wanted better traction and that was all then a DOT type drag tire will do the job. I still have some room to the inside of the wheel well and spring (about 1 full inch) but would need a specail offset to do it.
