The block should also have a AAQA designation on the front of the block....driver's side. This block was used for the 426 Street Wedge and Max Wedge from 1963 - 1965. My Max Wedge is stamped 426TMPHC on the front machined pad. This designates that it was the high compression version of the Max Wedge. The Dodge - Charger.com Tech Center Message Board lists 2 other block casting numbers used for 426 engines. One is 2205697. The chart states that this block was used for 1964 426 passenger vehicles.
