The block number you'll likely find on the driver's side near the 
starter is 2406730.  The block should also have a AAQA designation on 
the front of the block....driver's side.   This block was used for the 
426 Street Wedge and Max Wedge from 1963 - 1965.   My Max Wedge is 
stamped 426TMPHC on the front machined pad.  This designates that it was 
the high compression version of the Max Wedge.  

The Dodge - Charger.com Tech Center Message Board lists 2 other block 
casting numbers used for 426 engines.  One is 2205697.  The chart states 
that this block was used for 1964 426 passenger vehicles.  The second 
one listed is number 2432230.  It states that these blocks were used for 
1964 - 1966 Street Wedge and Max Wedge engines.
