Alex,

It works great, and has for 40 years that I have been doing it. I used
it at
the track this weekend. Something was wrong with the timing on the
Super Comp car and my partner was pulling his hair trying to figure it
out. The car had just laid down a very bad 9.78 pass - we usually run
9.0 (we are at 4500" feet before all you sea level guys go off on the
fact
that the index is 8.90), I snatched the vacuum gage out of the tool box
because they were calling the next round, set the timing with the vacuum
gauge, and the car went right back to the usual 9.0 run.

By the way our FMD or Top Alcohol Dragster ran 5.76 @ 242 this weekend.
Not bad for a bunch of wood ticks from Utah.

Earl

Does anyone know if adjusting the timing to the peak vacume works well?
Or is it any better to adjust to highest rpm's? I'm trying to tune up
the 426 wedge for best performance. Thanks, Alex
