Thanks Bob, I knew most of that, but I should have realized that given the other engines coming from the same block, but at the same time, I did not know whether they made a different casting for the 360 or not. It is good to know what it is though. I would still rather have a 340 I believe since they are "A" bodies that I plan on putting this motor in. The horsepower would be more beneficial than the torque in this case I believe. What would you suggest doing to help the 360 in horsepower, and higher RPM's?

Ahhh the venerable 360. Now you are talking about a small block Mopar that
has the same configuration as the 273, 318 (not the 318 poly) and the 340. The
difference between the 360 and the rest is the same as the Big blocks. The
360 is a RB small block. However not all components are interchangeble. The oil
pan from a 360 will not work on a 318 or 340. The outside configuration is the
same.
