It's interesting that you brought up the Trans Go shift kit for the 727 as I
just finished reading an article in ALLPAR, "the legendary
chrysler-plymouth-dodge torqueflite transmission" , that deals with history and modifications.
The article was written by Tom Hand, among others, of the Walter P. Chrysler
Club. It is very in depth with many photos and schematics.
I don't know Mr. Hand or his qualifications, but if you read the article it
is obvious he is very educated in the care and feeding of the 727/904. He
recommends the trans Go kits and lists 3. (TF-1, TF-2 and TF-3) and he
recommends the TF-2 for 95% of his rebuilds as is doesn't sacrifice too much driver
comfort. After reading this info -- among others-I'll be getting a Trans-Go
kit.
For those wanting info on the 727/904, this article has it covered pretty
well. I printed the 30+ page document for further study. (bathroom reading)
;-) Joe
