Makes the thing launch like a BEAR. I attribute a 0.15 sec reduction in my
60' times with that low gear set. You have to have an engine and converter
that can keep the power up when you hit second though, if you don't it'll
hurt you. It ramps up so fast in 1st, the first time you run, it'll catch
you by surprise. Do the TQ multiplication, it's significant. With the 2.77
over the 2.47, you increase TQ multiplication by 11.25%. That puts you into
2nd earlier and with a strong motor, et drops and if your momo can breathe,
your top end goes up. The main advantage is the 60' reduction and the
launch.
