Don is running a high horse power car with a 741 and a tapered axel rear end. Unless your running big horse power, and even if you are, I know plenty of guys running 741's with cars that run low 11's, and don't have any problems. Have you been listening to the prevailing "You have to have this certain piece to be cool" crowd? If you have a posi 741 case, buy a set of gears, rebuild the posi, and go have a good time. Don't make it more complicated than it is. Earl I've got a really crappy 2.76:1 ratio in my 741 casing (has Sure Grip though) rear end. I want to keep the SureGrip but change the gear ratio - so when I post what I am looking for do I use the words "gears" or "ring and pinion" or "third member"? I just want to change the ratio, but keep the SureGrip. Thanks! Andy 64 Dodge Polara 500 -- =========================================================== Let University of Phoenix make 2004 your year.
