Walt,
Hood clearance is an issue for me because I didn't cut out the hood 
braces for additional clearance for the front air cleaner.  However, I 
did buy the special thick carb gaskets (1/4") from Kramer's, and with no 
heat crossover in the manifold, the carbs don't get very warm.
