I attempted to press out the pin on my 63 Polara and stopped when it became apparent I was gonna wreck the pin if not the sector shaft. I successfully pressed out the pin on my 63 330 max wedge car and put the seal on and replaced the pin with no problem. How's that for a choice? The worst case scenario if you have a good machine shop in the area is you might want to farm out the pin remove/replace if it appears it's gonna be hard.

I'm going to be replacing the seal at the bottom of the shaft. has anyone attempted to press out the pin rather than disassemble the entire column? If so,was it successful?
Thanks,

george
