Wow, stuff happens!

"Easiest" way to clean the gas tank is bring it to a radiator shop and 
have them do it. :) 

DIY kits are available too. 
http://www.por-guys.com/POR15/sealer.html is an example.

Brnad new repro gas tanks are for sale also, as are sending units. The 
Vendor's list page on the 62-65 Web site gives the info.

Unless you have a crushed gas supply line, your Mopar probably has a 
clogged sending unit.
