My radiator shop said they can't fix the leak, so I bought a used heater on E-Bay and that core was MINT. I installed 2 pipe fittings to block off the water pump housing, then put the heater hoses back on the fittings to make them look like there hooked and working. I removed it and found that it is leaking from inside the core. Is this thing repairable? I seem to recall postings in the past where folks discussed places you could send your cores for either repair or replacement. I've been off-list for awhile, so I apologize in advance for not paying better attention. Other than having no heat, are there any other problems with just removing the thing? I've installed a short hose between the manifold and water pump - is that okay?
