James,
At 70, or better yet find a long hill, try to floor it and see if it
gets worse.  If it starts to really buck and miss, it is probably a lack
of fuel flow.  Check filters (don't forget the one in the tank), pump
output, float level, etc.

Subject: Surging at 70mph

Got  a Surging (missing) Dodge 361 only when i cruise at 70mph.  Engine
is original with ? miles but starts, runs strong around town, does not
smoke at all or use oil. 
Put new Pertronix and plug wires, New Manifold, w/ new gaskets and new
Carb and filter, New fuel Pump, Timing is dead on. 
SO what is going on at 70mph+? Vacuum?
