Rad cap is most likley the cuprit. MOPAR413 (Gary) 64 Polora 500 ----- Original Message ----- From: Acuda4me@xxxxxxx<mailto:Acuda4me@xxxxxxx> To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx<mailto:1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2004 1:39 PM Subject: Little things on my "new" 68 polara. After shaking down my new Polara Wagon, I have a couple of concerns: 1. Car blows coolant from the overflow tube, although the aftermarket temp guage installed by the previous owner says temp is in the 190 degree area. Whne the previous owner delivered it he said it was a "sticking thermostat." this makes no sense to me as a stuck thermostate would overheat quickly and this one doesn't. Is a bad pressure cap on the radiator more likely the culprit? 2. Radio no worky. Previous owner said it did work but that it "died" on the drive halfway down from Northern CA. I checked the fuses, they appear to be good, checked the antenna connections to the radio, also good. I could not trace the wire to the speaker, however, is it behind the glove box? The evening illumination inside the radio still works, if that gives you a clue. Any ideas would be appreciated. - Jeff [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
