As one who has been around this stuff for awhile I would not believe one bit if the Govier Slam story. First he has built his reputation on knowledge and has proven over the years to be the bottom line for info on these cars (By the way I think our own Mr Watson from BC is right up there as well) I have learned that the only person who never got slammed was the person who did nothing. There is always someone willing to criticize whether you are a painter, a engine builder, a upholesterer, etc etc. As I writer I often had to deal with criticism . One thing is almost always true . The one criticizing has probably never done diddly squat. Why there is probably someone out there right now saying bad things about me too. "Heavens to Betsy, what will we do?" My take on the whole deal is found at "Poetry.com" after you enter Don Dulmage , look for a poem called "The Experts" I give Monseiur Govier a thumbs up.
