I use diesel in mine also, some times I dump a little gas in not too much. Works pretty good. Mine is in a open area tho.

hazard, would probably have to go to some sort of water soluble type if smell
or flammability were a problem, as is after mine gets dirty, I just pour it
into the tank of my waste oil burner and use to heat the shop
